Lingaya'S Vidyapeeth, formerly known as Lingaya's Institute of Management & Technology, was founded in 1998 as an affiliated college to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. For years, the institute has been praised/recognized/awarded by various government bodies for its academic excellence & innovative industry-academic curriculum. The Institute was also upgraded to Deemed to be a University Status in 2009 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development and University Grant Commission in recognition of its contributions to technical and quality education.

Dr Picheswar Gadde is the Chancellor at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, whose sole objective is to make education accessible to all, irrespective of their economic or social status. He is a seasoned academician & mentor and has served at various levels both in industry & academia. He has been working to elevate the teaching & learning standards at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth by focusing more on problem-solving and practical skills based on hands-on experience.

The university offers more than 130 courses from all the schools with an average fee of Rs 1 lakh per annum. Lingaya’s objective is to facilitate and promote excellence in Education and Research with a focus on Professional Higher Education, and the Vidyapeeth has been consistently working in order to cater for the diversifying needs of contemporary and emerging Global and Industrial needs.

Faculty - The faculty of the university form an industrial consultancy that goes by the name "Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth (Industrial Consultancy) Regulation”. This consultancy is designed and operated solely by the faculty and allows students to learn from the projects and scenarios this consultancy experiences.

The aim is to develop new systems and procedures and automate the existing ones to improve productivity, designing and testing, performance management, and industry counselling.

The faculty to student ratio is quite impressive at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, and as highlighted above, the faculty is more focused on experimentation and innovation that actuates students to achieve additional milestones.

Student Projects - RDIC (Research & Development Innovation Cell) is created to encourage student entrepreneurial projects that are facilitated with the help of other industry partners and collaboration with other universities and colleges that focus on local and global problems like sustainable renewable energy resources, etc.

Once the projects start gaining momentum, appropriate patents and copyrights procedures are followed to ensure the innovative products or development rights remain with the institutions and relevant teams.

B-Tech (Bachelor in Technology) - BTech at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is the most famous engineering course that is offered by almost all the established universities and colleges of technology. Students have plenty of career opportunities after completing the 4-year degree which also provides opportunities to move to foreign countries.

M-Tech (Master in Technology) - MTech at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a 2 year-long specialization course to further enhance and understand the subjects learned in the engineering course. However, some students tend to choose a totally different subject in a Masters's course to build an interdisciplinary profile that might be more suitable to the career plans they have. 

BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) - BBA at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a 3 years course. Technical work is not for everyone, and neither business is; if students are interested in managing people or businesses instead of doing ground-level technical work, they can pursue BBA and plan something in relevant departments.

MBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) - MBA at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a 2 years course. Students can secure jobs after doing BBA alone. However, if one craves a higher position or more learning in the initial stages, proceeding with an MBA is a better decision as it will give the deep business understanding and provide direction to the career path.

B-Pharm (Bachelor in Pharmacy) - Bachelor in Pharmacy at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a 4–5-year degree just like MBBS, but it does not give the authority to write prescriptions or treat patients. This degree is the minimum required paperwork to start a recognized pharmacy in India.

D-Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) - D-Pharm at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a simple 2-year diploma that is developed for that segment of the society where employment is a huge concern.

BA.LL. B (Bachelor in Arts + Bachelor in Law) - BA LLB at Lingaya’s is a 5-year degree that is a combination of 2 different courses. If students are not concerned about immediate employment and are interested in giving time to learning, then this is a good choice as it saves 1 year with the help of the integrated program.

LL. B (Bachelor in Law) - LLB at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth constitutes Law, Constitutions, Civics, and Taxation are all about this course; there are many specializations that one can go with after completing this law degree.

B.Sc. (Bachelor in Science) - B.Sc at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a 3-year degree that comprises almost all the science subjects and allows the students to select a few as their Majors. A degree in science will open doors for many opportunities in the future and fulfil the prerequisites for many master's courses. Students also opt for this course if they want to become teachers in any one of the science subjects.

M.Sc. (Master in Science) - M.Sc at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is the course for Bachelor in Science and helps with a deep understating of the concepts and subjects learned in the bachelor's degree.

BCA (Bachelor in Computer Applications) - BCA at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a 3-year program that focuses on the application development, uses, and software industry. This course could easily land a job in the IT sector and is also 1 year lesser in duration compared to the engineering course in the same field. If one wants to settle a little early, then this can be preferred over CSC or IT engineering courses.

MCA (Master in Computer Applications) - MCA at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is for individuals who want to strengthen their roots in the software and computer application concepts, they can pursue this master's course, which could help them in the future.

B.A. (Bachelor in Arts) - Bachelor in arts at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a 3-year program similar to B.Sc or BCA but focuses on subjects like languages and journalism.

B. Com (Bachelor in Commerce) - B.Com at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is a 3-year course. Computers, hardware, software, and electronics are the main components of this course; it provides a very good background for most of the technological streams as they have computers involved at conceptual levels.

B. Des. (Bachelor of Design) - B.Des at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is one of the most sought courses. Fashion designing and interior designing are two courses offered in the bachelor of design program. Interior designing is a very good career option due to the exponential growth in residential real estate. 

BJMC (Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication) - BJMC at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is for students who have an interest in becoming anchors, journalists, reporters, or writers. Subjects like political science and investigative research are part of this course.

PhD: PhD at Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth is for a period of 3 to 5 years. A doctor of philosophy is the highest academic qualification for any stream and involves a thesis, research, and innovation for the most part.

Lingaya's Vidyapeeth Online Admission Process

The candidates can apply for the course online on the Insitute website. After applying and paying the application fees for the course, the student will have to submit all the relevant documents related to the specific course, and after verifying the eligibility criteria and the documents submitted by the student, the Institute provides admission to the students.

Lingaya's Vidyapeeth Offline Admission Process

The candidates can visit the Institute campus and fill out the hard copy of the application form received from there. The student can then make the payment for the application via card or cash and then the students will have to submit the relevant documents physically to the admission section of the Institute. Once the documents are verified and the eligibility criteria are met, the students are given admission to the desired course.

Lingaya's Vidyapeeth Cut-off/ Exams

The university has its own admission procedure that includes personal interviews and other ways of gauging students to understand their true potential and level of interest in the subjects chosen by comparing them with their career plans. The LET entrance test is accepted at Lingaya Vidyapeeth. However, it is not the deciding factor for admission as it is only an optional test that will give a clue about the student's abilities.

The university is built at a total area of 50 acres and is filled with greenery and fresh atmosphere all around the campus area.

Auditorium- As the university conducts a lot of conferences and meetups with other colleges and universities, a huge auditorium is built with the latest sound and video system and a huge projector to be used as per the needs. The campus has many water outlets that provide clean and fresh water.

Canteen - The canteen area is very clean and offers a good variety of breakfast lunch options. The food offered is very hygienic and has some strict guidelines to be followed in the kitchen.

Each bus has an in-charge who is responsible for all the student concerns and onboarding. Students are given bus passes that are to be shown to the respective in-charge before availing of the service. The service offers both AC and Non-AC busses for the same routes, which also makes it a very redundant service, ensuring 100% presence.

Accommodation - It offers a standardized hostel facility for both boys and girls. There is a separate unit for girls to stay in. The hostel warden and management are very concerned about the people staying there and are almost available for help 24x7.

Library - The library facility is available to students for all streams, and it contains all the recently released publications and reference books from famous authors. All the new editions are added to the library to provide knowledge from different perspectives to students. There is a pass iLVed to all students who want to carry the books out of the library, and certain limitations are there depending on which books and how many one can borrow. This is to make sure everyone is able to utilize the resources. Apart from syllabus books, the library carries magazines on recent technological innovations, yearly development information and general knowledge books, and Atlas and other global information volumes for Aptitude development.

Events & Clubs at Lingaya's Vidyapeeth

Zest is one of the most important annual fests that happen at the campus, which consists of many high-profile celebrities and popular artists. It aims at showcasing the best talents in more than 60 fields like singing, dancing, sports, public speaking, etc. Some celebs who inaugurated the function in recent years are Gulshan Grover, Ranjeet, Zarina Wahab, PadmaniKolapuri, G. Asrani, Rajesh Khanna, Jaya Prada, Zeenat Aman, Ustad Amjad AR Khan, Satish Kaushik, and Rati Agnihotri.

Convocation ceremonies are held at the campus to award students their degrees, and many officials from other universities and colleges visit the campus for this event, making it a very energetic and spectacular event.
