AIIMS in India: Eligibility Criteria for Admission

All the seats in the courses of different AIIMS colleges in India are allotted by NEET which is conducted annually by National Testing Authority (NTA). AIIMS in India list has a set of eligibility criteria for candidates to meet. Therefore, those seeking admission to medical courses at AIIMS, have to be aware of the eligibility requirements for NEET. AIIMS eligibility criteria include the following:

  • Candidates must be 17 years of age at the time of application

  • All candidates must complete their 12th Grade (10+2) with at least 60% aggregate in the core Science subjects from a recognized Board/Council

  • OBC candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in Grade 12 while SC/ST candidates need to score a minimum of 50% aggregate to be eligible for AIIMS admission 2023

  • Candidates must qualify in the NEET Exam to get admission to MBBS courses and INI CET Exam to pursue MCh/DM/MDS/MD/MD courses in India

  • To get admission to MSc and BSc courses under any specialization, candidates will need to appear for the AIIMS entrance test conducted for respective courses

  • Candidates opting for MCh/DM/MD (Hospital Administration) courses, must qualify in the AIIMS Post-Graduate & Post-Doctoral Course Entrance Examination

  • If the institute considers an examination of an Indian or a foreign university equivalent to Grade 12 under the 10+2 scheme, candidates will need to furnish a certificate to the effect that the examination passed is equivalent to Grade 12 (10+2). Candidates can obtain certificates from the concerned Indian University or the Association of Indian Universities.

It is based on your performance on the common entrance test and the personal interview round conducted by the Jaipur National University. JNU Jaipur entrance exam is called JEST. To be eligible for JNU Jaipur B.Sc Nursing, students must have passed class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks and with subjects like Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology & English from any recognised board.
