GITAM also known as Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management is a private university located in Visakhapatnam. Late Dr M. V. V. S. Murthi is the founder of GITAM Vizag and it was founded in 1980. GITAM Hyderabad and GITAM Bengaluru are the two other campuses. Earlier it was affiliated with Andhra University with the name GITAM College then, later on in 2007 it gained autonomous status. GITAM Vizag has secured an “A++” grade from the NAAC.
