WBJEE exam pattern 2023 for the Paper I & II has been released in the official brochure. Candidates appearing for the West Bengal Engineering Entrance Exam must note that the Paper I exam is confined to Mathematics, while Paper II is confined to Physics and Chemistry (combined). Students can find the elaborated exam pattern on this page. In order to get admission in BTech/ BArch/ BPharma, the candidates should appear for Paper I & II of WBJEE 2023. On the other hand, candidates who wish to get admission only in the Pharmacy course can appear for Paper-II. The category wise/ section wise exam pattern is elaborated below.
As per the paper pattern of WBJEE 2023, all questions will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ), with four options against each question. There will be three categories of questions in each subject. The number of questions as well as maximum marks for each and other related details can be checked on this page.
All the questions in the WBJEE are MCQ-based (Multiple Choice Questions), and the candidates will have at least four options against each question. At the same time, the questions in the entrance exam are divided into three categories. The WBJEE exam is conducted for 200 marks, and the total number of questions is 155.

In the WBJEE 2023 exam pattern, each category in all subjects in both papers has a different marking scheme. The category-wise marking scheme for each subject of paper I and Paper II is given in the table below:

Every wrong/multiple options will result in the eduction of -1/4 marks
Not attempting the question will fetch zero mark

The admission to B.Tech program at Jadavpur University is done on the basis of the WBJEE entrance exam. However, in order to sit for the WBJEE exam, the candidate must have passed Class 12th from a school in West Bengal.
