Overall: DTU is an amazing place with an amazing study environment. The seniors here are helpful. Most importantly DTU offers a variety of opportunities through which students attain all round development. Many students grab great placement opportunities and many secure a good position to go for higher studies. Admission process is through entrance examinations for Indian students. DTU is one of the best engineering colleges in the country. In Terms of environment, facility, education quality, placements, exposure everything is pretty good.
Placement: DTU Placement cell is open for all the students but most of the jobs offered were in the management field. The average salary package was around 6-7 LPA. Packages are based on the type of jobs offered. Maximum salary package is 36 LPA and the minimum salary package was 5 LPA. Overall, there is a good exposure to jobs in Delhi Technological University. The placement rate is almost 90%.
Infrastructure: DTU has one the largest campuses spread across 164 acres. Our department is well-equipped, maintained, and has big laboratories. Everything is good at DTU. All classrooms are air-conditioned. Wi-Fi facility is available on campus for students. The food served is good most of the time and affordable. There is a canteen, mess, Nescafe and other tea stalls, a fruit juice corner, etc.
Faculty: As DTU is a government aided college, the faculty is not very good. Professors are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. Some professors are helpful, some are not. Teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is relevant and helps in making the students industry ready.
Hostel: The canteen is good and everything is suited to the students budget. They also provide medical facilities and sports. The DTU campus has basketball grounds, football ground, tennis court, badminton court, cricket ground, running track, billiard and many more for students to utilize. There are cycles stationed all around the campus for easy commutation. Though, DTU hostel rooms may use some improvement.
Overall: I am currently pursuing a B. Tech in Computer Engineering in DTU, and it has been an excellent opportunity to grow my academic skills as well develop good communication and interpersonal skills. DTU is one of the finest educational institutions, and it has maintained this reputation each year through its encouraging faculty, career advancement schemes and excellent placement opportunities.
Placement: Our university provides both national and international placement and internship opportunities. Last year, PWC, Deloitte, Praxis Global Alliance were some of the big names that participated in the placement program. The career advancement schemes are really helpful for career guidance. I have seen most of my seniors getting placed at big MNCs and I aspire the same.
Infrastructure: DTU has a very vast and beautiful campus. Personally, I like to spend time in the gym arena. It is very well-equipped with all the modern equipment. Other than that, we also have a central library, which has academic books as well as novels. I am a book nerd and was perfectly satisfied by the kind of books we have here. You can sit there and read or even bring it to your hostel rooms. Besides this, we have a digitised library too, from where we can download the PDFs of any topic concerned with our course curriculum.
Faculty: Not only is the faculty at DTU very qualified and experienced but also encouraging and interactive. The classes are very interactive and all my queries are resolved. The teachers are open to discussion and healthy debate. You can get in touch with your tutors beyond the classroom hours and they are still so welcoming. Their teaching techniques are not limited to the textbooks, they give us live examples, mock sessions and case study for better understanding.
Hostel: The location of the hostel is quite decent. Boys and Girls hostels are seperate. The rooms are comfortable and tidy. I share my rooms with two of my batchmates. We have our separate shelves, study tables and bed. The warden is very understanding and caring.
