Chandigarh University (CUCHD): Fees, Courses, Admission 2023, Ranking

The Chandigarh University course admissions through the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) are currently ongoing. The registrations for the CUCET 2023 commenced in November 2022 and the last date to apply for the same is May 29, 2023. The CUCET Phase 1 examination is being held from November 2022 and will go on till May 2023. Phase 2 of the CUCET exam will be conducted from June 2023 to November 2023. 

Chandigarh University offers more than 200 UG, PG, and, Doctoral courses through its 18 institutes. The B.Tech/BE is the flagship course of the university and more than 35% of students opt for the Computer Science specialisation of this course. The Chandigarh University B.Tech fees range between Rs 4 lakh to Rs 12 lakh depending on the specialisation. The university also offers Distance Learning courses through the  Chandigarh University Institute of Distance and Open Learning. Chandigarh University CUCET Syllabus: The examination tests students in areas like the English language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and, Logical Reasoning. Apart from this, the detailed syllabus for each subject varies. 

Eligibility Criteria for CUCET: For UG courses, candidates who have 50% or more marks in 10+2 from any recognised board or appearing for the same, can apply. For the PG courses, 50% or more marks in graduation from a recognised university can apply.

The university offers 146+ courses in multiple streams like engineering, management, pharmacy, arts, etc. The courses are offered at the undergraduate level, postgraduate level, and, PhD level. Apart from the regular courses, Chandigarh University course admissions are also made in its Distance Learning and Online Learning courses in streams like travel, data science, yoga, chemistry, and nutrition, to name a few. Admission to these courses is mostly based on the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET). Admission to the university is entrance-based. However, for some courses, like, B.Pharm, L.Pharm, BA LLB, LLM, and, B.Sc, the Chandigarh University admission criteria also require appearing for counselling. The step by step admission process of the university is mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the university which is cuchd.in

Step 2: Register yourself by entering the various details and making the registration payment of Rs 1,000. For offline registration, students can secure the admission brochure from the university office by paying Rs 1,000.

Step 3: Once registered, a confirmation email will be sent to candidates. Fill out the further form and select a date for the CUCET test for Chandigarh University admission 2023. 

Step 4: Appear for the exam on the prescribed date and time with the registered login details.

Step 5: The CUCET result will be intimated shortly after the examination.

Step 6: For courses like B.Pharm, L.Pharm, BA LLB, LLM, and, B.Sc, students will also have to appear for a counselling session and pay the counselling fee of Rs 10,000. 

Step 7: If students are selected, they must pay the fees to confirm the Chandigarh University admission.
