BFIT, established in 2002, is a private college located in Dehradun. It was founded under the Kartar Educational and Cultural Society's jurisdiction. Baba Farid Institute of Technology of Science and Research is accredited by UGC (University Grants Commission), AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), and NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The institute is ISO 9001-2000 certified and is one of the few self-funded institutions in Dehradun. The institute is affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University, HNB Garhwal Central University, and, Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University. 

BFIT Dehradun campus is located in Sudhowala, Uttarakhand in a lush green surrounding. BFIT Dehradun Eligibility Criteria 2023

• The BFIT Dehradun admission process for their undergraduate courses are based on the percentage obtained in 10+2 standard. For admissions in Engineering course, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, BBA, Bachelor of Commerce, and other undergraduate courses, scores of AIBFEE exam or GD-PI can also be taken into consideration.
• Admissions in Baba Farid Institute of Technology of Science and Research Postgraduate courses are based on the percentage obtained in Graduation courses. For admissions in M.Sc, MA, MBA, MCA, M.Com, and other postgraduate courses, scores of the AIBFEE exam or GD-PI can also be taken into consideration. 

BFIT Dehradun After 12 Eligibility Criteria for 2023

• Minimum certification of Class 12 with science from any recognised board is required.
• For GEN/OBC, a minimum of 45% is necessary, and for SC/ST, a minimum of 40% is required.

BFIT Dehradun Diploma Eligibility Criteria 2023

• The minimum requirement for the BFIT Dehradun admission process after diploma course  is a 10+2 or senior secondary school diploma in any subject from a recognised board.
• For GEN/OBC, a minimum of 45% is necessary, and for SC/ST, a minimum of 40% is required.

BFIT Dehradun Post Graduation Eligibility Criteria for 2023

• A bachelor's degree from a recognised university is the minimum requirement.
• The minimum percentage required for GEN is 45%, while for OBC/SC/ST, it is 40%.

Candidates have to open the website and the admission form for 2023-24, which is available on the official website of the institute. For offline, one can visit the main campus or regional office or through counselling educational fairs.

• Forms for entrance examinations are included in the Baba Farid Institute of Technology of Science and Research admission brochure.
• You have to fill out the basic details like name, state, qualification, course preference, phone number, email, etc.
• For all courses, along with the prescribed entrance examination forms available with the admission brochure of BFIT, three attested copies of passport size recent photographs, attested proof of date of birth, and attested photocopies mark sheets and degree/other proof based on which admission is sought.
• The candidates will be informed by a post about the entrance exam held in various states and cities as listed in the entry form.
• The result of the entrance exam will be announced through a newspaper edition/post.
• The selected candidates will be called for an interview, and a final list will be prepared.
• The candidate who is found ineligible is notified separately.

The BFIT Dehradun accepts the AIBFEE Exam and Institute Entrance Test for the purpose of admissions in various courses of the institute as well as for scholarship purposes. Admissions in all the courses are subject to the percentage obtained by the candidate in 10+2 as well as AIBFEE Exam, Institute Entrance Test, and GD-PI.

Students will be provided BFIT Dehradun Scholarships based on AIBFEE percentage for different courses as mentioned below –

• Above 95% – 60% on 1st-year Tuition Fees
• 90% to 95% – 40% on 1st-year Tuition Fees
• 80% to 90% – 30% on 1st-year Tuition Fees
• 70% to 80% – 20% on 1st-year Tuition Fees

Students who are taking admission through Path B: Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GD/PI) would be applicable for scholarships based on their results in Boards/universities, etc.

BFIT Dehradun 2023 Scholarships are also provided based on sports activities, cultural activities, and social services. The special scholarship is awarded to the students who have an Uttarakhand domicile, female students, and the children of defense personnel from across the country. Students applying through one of the National Level Entrance Tests such as JEE (Main), NEET, NATA, CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, GATE, GPAT, CLAT, LSAT, UCEED, CEED, ICAR, etc. shall be eligible for the scholarship.

• The admission to courses is made on a "first come first serve" basis.
• A selection committee determines who is admitted to the Baba Farid Institute of Technology of Science and Research courses.
• Admissions to various courses will be based on 10+2 results as well as scores of the AIBFEE exam or GD-PI.
• A Group Discussion and Personal Interview round are mandatory for the selection of the students for various courses. 
• BFIT admissions to all the courses are purely based on merit and the result of personal interview. 
• Students have to apply through an online application form. 
• The entrance application received is screened, and a merit list is prepared for the entrance examination.
• The candidates are informed by post about the date and time of the exam, which is held in various states/cities as listed in the application form.
• Shortlisted students will be contacted for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. 
• Candidates selected for interviews are responsible for making their own travel and lodging arrangements.

The curriculum is based on teaching students in an application-based manner. Students have compulsory and elective courses to complete during their degree. Through these, they earn credits. The Baba Farid University Dehradun course curriculum is also designed in accordance with industry demand so that students are industry-ready from the start of their course. The institute also offers to add on certificate courses as per the student's skills. 

BFIT Dehradun uses a semester system that is in line with international best practices and standards. The one-year course curriculum is divided into two semesters. The semester system encourages more engagement between instructors and students while also allowing for more significant term papers and research projects.

During the semester, every student of BFIT university is required to attend 100% of the lectures, tutorials, practicals, and seminars scheduled for the particular subject. In the event of a contingency, however, a relaxation of up to 25% is allowed. In order to take the exams, you must have a minimum of 75% attendance. Academic achievement, disciplinary attitude, and student growth are all ensured by the need for 100% attendance.

• Rangrezza in Baba Farid Institute of Technology of Science and Research is a 4 days annual fest that includes numerous events.
