Amity University Punjab was established in 2021 by the not-for-profit Amity Foundation. It is the eleventh university established by the Amity Group. With a vast hi-tech campus of 40 acres, the university is located 10 minutes away from the Chandigarh International Airport. The university is recognised by UGC (University Grants Commission). It is Asia's only not-for-profit university to get the highest accreditations by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges), the USA, and the QAA (Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education), UK. The university is also accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. 

Amity University Punjab is a multidisciplinary university offering more than 90 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The university has tied up with over 100 international universities, including the University of Oxford, Stanford University, Columbia University, MIT, Harvard University, and Queen Mary University of London.

• No-Ragging Policy 

The Amity University campus in Mohali is a ragging-free domain. Anti-ragging policies and restrictions have been implemented at the university, with violators facing harsh penalties. Students, instructors, and staff are educated on what constitutes ragging and the consequences of doing so.

Each student must submit two anti-ragging affidavits (signed by both the student and their parent), read the Anti-ragging booklet on Amizone, acknowledge that they have read the booklet, and then register for the programme.

Smart cards, biometric readers, the newest IP cameras, fire warning systems, 24-hour guards, and patrolling patrols contribute to the campus's strict security. Students are issued a chip-enabled smart card that may be used as an e-wallet at the cafeteria, bookstores, and other locations on campus.

Amity University Punjab courses vary across domains like architecture, commerce, biotech, communication, engineering, law, management, psychology, interior design, chemistry, economics, mathematics, computer applications, microbial science, physics, English literature, fine arts, film & TV production, environment, food science, and many more.

• For Amity University Punjab UG courses, applicants need to have an aggregate of 50% in 10+2. JEE Mains, NATA, UPSEE, or Amity JEE scores and a higher secondary certificate are required for Engineering and Architecture. 
• For Amity University Punjab PG courses, a bachelor's degree is required in a relevant stream. MBA students must have graduated with an aggregate of 50%, and they must have the 12th standard with an aggregate of 50%. In addition to that, they need to qualify for CAT/GMAT/CMAT/ or NMAT. 

The Amity University Punjab admissions for undergraduate and post-graduate programmes commence in January annually. Interested candidates and apply online. 

• Admission for B.Arch programme is based on JEE Mains/NATA or UPSEE entrance exam scores.
• Apart from the B.Arch programme, admissions to undergraduate courses are made based on 10+2 results. 
• Candidates need to fill out the application form and submit a self-recorded video stating Statement of Purpose (SOP). 
• The candidates will communicate the admission decision based on the application form, academic results, and video recording assessment.
• Students with an aggregate of 80% in Class 12 will be selected only on the basis of their application form and will not be required to submit SOP videos.
• Candidates first have to log on to their Admission Microsite. 
• Fill out the basic details such as name, address, contact number, email ID, etc., in the form.
• Upload your passport size photograph (3.5 x 4.5cm) scanned in jpg, gif, jpeg, bmp, or png along with a scanned copy of your class 10th certificate.
• Submit the form once you have verified your details.

• The application form fee is Rs 1500. It can be paid using a Debit card/Credit card/E-Wallet/ Netbanking.

Amity Punjab accepts scores from JEE mains, MAT, NATA, UPSEE, CAT, NMAT, etc. If a candidate hasn't appeared for any of the exams mentioned earlier, they can choose to give the Amity JEE (Amity Joint Entrance Examination) entrance exam. The questions are based on the CBSE Class 12 syllabus, including physics, chemistry, mathematics (PCM), English (PCB), and English. Admission to all B.Tech courses will be based on JEE Main 2022 marks.

Students who have appeared for JEE Mains 2022, Amity JEE 2022, or other state-level entrance exams can apply for B.Tech admissions. 

Amity University Punjab B.Arch Admission Criteria 2022

Students have to submit a qualifying NATA 2022 score to get admission to the architecture programme.

Amity University Punjab MBA Admission Criteria 2022

Students who have appeared for CAT/GMAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/NMAT and have a valid score can apply for the MBA programme.

All qualified students (for programmes following 10+2) are admitted to Amity University Punjab on the Fast Track. That is, they are not required to participate in the admission selection process, and their admittance is determined solely based on their application form. For post-graduate programmes, direct admission is not available. However, a scholarship will be given following enrollment in the programme and verification of authentic papers. Ph.D programmes are not eligible for the Amity University Punjab scholarships. 

UG Scholarships:

• Candidates are eligible for a 100% scholarship if they have scored a minimum of 95% aggregate and above in Class 12 (CBSE or ICSE Board). 
• Candidates are eligible for a 75% scholarship if they have scored between 93%-94.99% aggregate and above in Class 12 (CBSE or ICSE Board). 
• Candidates are eligible for a 50% scholarship if they have scored between 90%-92.99% aggregate and above in Class 12 (CBSE or ICSE Board). 
• Candidates are eligible for a 20% scholarship if they have scored a minimum of 90% aggregate and above in Class 12 (CBSE or ICSE Board). 

PG Scholarship

• Candidates are eligible for a 100% scholarship if they have scored a minimum of 93% aggregate and above in Class 12 (CBSE or ICSE Board) and 80% in graduation.
• Candidates are eligible for a 50% scholarship if they have scored a minimum of 90% aggregate and above in Class 12 (CBSE or ICSE Board) and 75% in graduation.
• Candidates are eligible for a 20% scholarship if they have scored a minimum of 90% aggregate and above in Class 12 (State Board) and 75% in graduation.

Sports Scholarship

• Candidates are eligible for a 100% scholarship if they are international players.

• Amity Motorsport, a Formula One vehicle developed by a group of Mechanical Engineering students, was displayed during the Formula Bharat 2016 engineering design competition.
